Chapter 4: Validation Before Go-Live
Chapter Overview
Before any data is loaded into your Production Betasky agency, Betasky runs validation imports — a dry run that reports what would be created without changing your live data.
Your role: Review the validation report with us and fix export gaps before the final import.
4.1 What we validate

| Medication PDF coverage | Active census has med lists |
| Care order dates vs cutover | Legacy "Active" flags are often wrong |
| Staff emails and roles | Employee List includes Role column — Betasky maps to Betasky permissions |
| Reference data (MD, payer, pharmacy) | No broken links on intake |
4.2 Your cutover date
Agree on a cutover date in writing — the day Betasky becomes your system of record.
Everything labeled "active" in your old EMR is re-checked against that date. A patient discharged before cutover stays discharged in Betasky even if Axxess still shows "Active."
4.3 Validation workflow
- You deliver one migration zip per Chapter 5
- Betasky reviews zip completeness, then runs validation import and sends a summary report
- Joint review — missing files, bad dates, name format issues
- You fix and re-send zip (or supplement); we re-validate if needed — timeline pauses until zip is clean
- Final import into Production after your admin approves
- You complete Chapter 6 verification checklist
Target: Go-live within 2 weeks of Betasky accepting a complete zip (Chapter 16).
4.4 Sandbox vs Production
- Sandbox: Use for staff training. Do not expect your real migrated census here unless explicitly arranged for a pilot.
- Production: Your live agency — go-live approved and branches ready before final import.
4.5 Common issues caught in validation
